Marina’s love for dance began at the age of three. She trained extensively within Mississauga, Toronto and Woodbridge in various disciplines of dance. She competed for years within Ontario and the United States, winning various awards, scholarships and overall standings for group and solo performances. She is a former graduate of The Regional Arts Program and helped organized The Peel Dance Showcase that continues to perform every school year. Marina received her teaching qualifications in 2005 from the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (B.A.T.D). Throughout her years of teaching Marina’s students and choreography have received a number of high score awards, special awards and overalls throughout Ontario. In addition to her dance education Marina holds a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours degree and a Bachelor of Education. Her education and dance experiences thus far has helped her understand child development, behaviour and the learning process, which allows her to effectively communicate and connect with her students while teaching exciting and new choreography. Marina has taught students of all ages and is dedicated to working hard with innovative ideas and strives to bring out the best in her students, with a strong focus teaching technique, style, confidence and teamwork. Marina’s enthusiasm and passion for dance is carried on through her teaching.
