Sarah began dancing at the age of three. She completed graded dance exams in jazz and tap through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance. During her dancing career she competed in many dance competitions winning many overall awards and scholarships. In 1994, she passed the Stage Division Teachers exam through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. In 1996, she passed her teachers exams in jazz, tap and ballet with Dance Masters of America. Sarah also spent many years dancing in a professional Flamenco dance company touring throughout Ontario. As a teacher and choreographer Sarah’s students have won many overall dance scholarships. Her students have also successfully completed tap and jazz examinations with the C.D.T.A. and have gone on to become professional dancers themselves. Sarah’s choreography has also won numerous awards especially in the disciplines of tap and theatre dance. Sarah decided to spread her love of teaching into the academic classroom and since 2008 she has been teaching with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board as a Special Education teacher.
