From a very young age, the art of dance has always been a passion of Lindsay’s. She began her training at 3 years old at Dance Elite Studio for the Arts, under the direction and mentorship of Marnie Palmer-Lang. While a dancer at the studio, Lindsay trained in numerous dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, modern and acrobatics and was able to spend 12 years on the competitive team. As a company member, Lindsay competed in numerous competitions across the GTA as well as completed jazz and ballet examinations with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA). Lindsay is now a certified dance instructor as an Associate Member with the CDTA. In 2012, Lindsay graduated from Dance Elite as the Judy Campbell Achievement Award recipient, honouring an individual who has demonstrated leadership and dedication while at the studio.

In September of 2012, Lindsay began her post-secondary education at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario studying Psychology. While completing her studies, Lindsay became actively involved in Laurier’s dance program both as a dancer and an instructor. In her final year at Laurier, Lindsay took on the role of Dance Coordinator working for the university’s Athletics and Recreation Department in addition to her instructing position. Under Lindsay’s direction, Laurier’s dance program grew significantly and was the most successful year that the program has had to date. In June of 2016, Lindsay graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Lindsay is now a student at York University in Toronto pursuing a Bachelor of Education in the primary/junior division. In addition to her studies, Lindsay is also a company member with Momentum Dance Toronto where she trains in many different dance styles. Over the last few years, Lindsay has taught summer classes and been a supply teacher for Dance Elite and she is thrilled to officially be on faculty this season! Lindsay believes that the power of dance is infectious and she looks forward to sharing her love of the art form with her Dance Elite family!
