STUDIO POLICIES

OUR DANCE SEASON
Our dance season starts in September and finishes in May with a memorable and exciting recital weekend. As dance educators we look forward to the time we share with our students in class each week and sharing our passion, energy and enthusiasm for dance. Please read our studio policies below.

 STUDIO POLICIES:

  • All students are to follow our studio dress code at all times. Please ensure that your dancer is prepared for class each week with proper attire, shoes & hair. Please view our Studio Dress Code. 
  • Our facility is peanut free.
  • If you have questions or concerns please email our Artistic Director Marnie at marnie@danceelite.ca or Recreational Coordinator Jennifer at jennifer_danceelite@hotmail.com. We would be pleased to speak with you.
  • The studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles. All personal & valuable items should be left at home.

ATTENDANCE
Dance is a group activity that requires commitment from all of its members. Consistent attendance is imperative for dancers to learn new skills and build confidence as a performer. If your child is going to be absent, please email the studio so we can pass this information along to our staff. All dancers are offered the opportunity to participate in our year end recital which takes place at the end of May at the First Ontario Arts Center Milton. This is an optional event, if you cannot fulfill this commitment, please let us know by November 15, 2022.

CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE
To create a fun and productive learning environment for all our students, we ask that dancers follow the following guidelines:

  • Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your class start time. This will allow dancers time to prepare for class. Dancers should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their scheduled class end time.
  • Dancers in our Kinder Programs must have a parent stay, to wait for them on studio property, for the full duration of the class.
  • Food, drink, and gum is not permitted in our studios. Water bottles only.

COMMUNICATION
Email is the best form of communication, if you have any questions or concerns, please speak with us directly. We would be pleased to answer any questions and will get back to you within 48 hours. If the studio closes due to inclement weather, we will send out an email directly to our families and post this information on our social media platforms. Be sure to follow us!

Dance Elite’s website is a great resource for finding studio information including important dates, recital information and studio announcements. Please visit www.danceelite.ca frequently for updates.

CONSTANT CONTACT
All students registered with Dance Elite will be included in our studio emails. Messages, reminders, and schedules for upcoming events are sent out directly to Dance Elite families through Constant Contact. If you have not been receiving emails from us once you have registered, please email us directly.
